WHAT TO EXPECT
Guided farm tours are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis and generally last about 30-45 minutes.
We will share with you the history, use, and care of our prolific and beautiful fiber producer, the South American alpaca, along with its smaller, yet equally-impressive fiber counterpart, the Angora rabbit. You will have a chance to pet or hold the animals, and there is also a llama on site who loves the attention just as much as the star alpacas :)
You'll see the barns where the animals live and where we work. We'll walk you through the production process from shearing the animals, to making our own felted products, to sending out our fiber to local artisans and specialist mills for further preparation of goods, and more.
If you prefer to explore on your own, you'll have access to various footpaths that will weave you through our fields and outbuildings—and of course, no visit is complete without a stop in our family farm store, where we offer fiber products for your home, wardrobe, and family.
As an added bonus, we're located atop one of the highest peaks in Sullivan County, so we strongly encourage you to take some time, bring a packed lunch, and enjoy the picturesque farmland surrounding our picnic area.
- Barn & restrooms are wheelchair accessible
- FREE WIFI available on the premises
- Drinks are available for purchase
We very much look forward to sharing with you our love of these animals and of the limitless benefits they offer. We thank you for taking the time to visit our farm, whether virtually or in person!
