|Buck Brook Alpacas is a family-run farm started in 2013. The farm was started for several reasons but the main reason was our love of animals. Through mentoring at Nature's Reserve Alpacas our family fell in love with the gentle, curious and beautiful alpaca. At about the same time, we came across the opportunity to purchase a picturesque piece of property at one of the highest peaks in Sullivan County. The farm, home to the Bestenheider family for over a hundred years, was picturesque and serene. A perfect place to raise alpacas. It was our intention to raise several fiber animals and produce products, until we went to our first alpaca show. Alpaca shows are exciting, competitive and fun. We involve our whole family in the process from showmanship to performance and obstacle. We breed our alpacas to win in the show ring and produce outstanding luxury fiber.
